Anti-Spam / Communication Policy

This Policy ensures that all communications on LandscapingGlobe™ remain safe, professional, consent-based, and compliant with global anti-spam laws.

1. Purpose of This Policy
The Policy ensures all LandscapingGlobe™ communications are:
- Safe, Professional, and Consent-based.
- Free from harassment and compliant with global anti-spam laws.
This policy governs Messages, Emails, Notifications, and Advertising outreach.
2. What Is Considered Spam
Spam includes any message or communication that is:
- Unsolicited, Bulk-sent, Repetitive, or Irrelevant.
- Deceptive, Harassing, Automated without consent, or used to obtain personal data.
3. Communication Channels Covered
This policy applies to:
- Direct Messages (DMs) & Quotes.
- Supplier/Contractor outreach.
- System notifications & Promotional emails.
- Transactional emails (Paddle billing) & Support conversations.
4. Prohibited Communication Behaviors
4.1 Unsolicited Outreach:
- Mass-message contractors/suppliers; promote unrelated services (crypto, MLM).
4.2 Harassment or Pressure:
- Aggressive follow-ups, repeated messages after refusal, threatening language.
4.3 Misleading/Deceptive Messages:
- Fake job inquiries, deceptive quotes, misrepresented business identity.
4.4 Off-Platform Data Harvesting:
- Users must not request highly sensitive personal data (e.g., Passport scans, Banking details, Credit card photos, Personal addresses).
4.5 Automated or Bot Messaging:
- Prohibited: Bots sending mass quotations, Automated DMs, AI-generated spam messages, Automated lead scraping.
4.6 Advertising Abuse:
- Sending ads via DM, Promoting services without a listing, Misusing boosts to repeatedly spam categories.
Inter-policy reference: Advertising behavior must comply with the Advertising & Boosting Policy.
5. Allowed Communication (When Done Properly)
Examples of acceptable, professional messages:
- Replying to a direct quote request or discussing project details professionally.
- Sending a clarifying question about product specifications or sharing legitimate portfolio samples (within guidelines).
- Providing relevant supplier catalog links (non-spam) or offering follow-up within reasonable time periods.
- Sending compliance-required notifications (e.g., data access, billing).
6. Message Frequency Rules
6.1 Direct Messages:
- Max 3 messages without a response.
- Must stop if user asks to stop.
- No repeated follow-ups after 7 days without invitation.
6.2 Platform Notifications:
All notifications must be Opt-in, closely related to user activity, and Unintrusive.
6.3 Marketing Emails:
Sent only with prior consent (GDPR + global compliance).
7. LandscapingGlobe’s Communication Standards
7.1 Transactional Emails:
Account creation, Security alerts, System maintenance notifications, Future Paddle billing confirmations.
7.2 Service Emails:
Quote updates, New message alerts, Listing performance information, Boost activation confirmations.
7.3 Marketing Emails:
Only if users opt-in for: Promotions, New features, Industry insights. Users can unsubscribe anytime using the footer link.
8. Global Anti-Spam Compliance
Compliance is strictly enforced with:
- United States: CAN-SPAM Act (FTC link)
- Canada: CASL (Justice link)
- European Union: GDPR + ePrivacy Directive.
- UK: UK GDPR + PECR.
- GCC Region (UAE, KSA, Qatar): Requires consent for promotional messages.
- Australia: Spam Act 2003.
- Asia (Singapore, India): Explicit opt-in for marketing.
9. AI & Automated Communication Rules
AI-Generated Content Must:
- Be accurate, not mislead, and not impersonate real individuals.
- Not be used for automated spam or to create fake leads or messages.
AI is Allowed For:
Generating descriptions, Improving listing text, Assisting with project planning, Internal workflow.
Not Allowed:
✘ AI auto-messaging, AI spamming clients, AI-generated fake quotes.
10. Data Protection & Privacy
All communication data is processed according to:
- LandscapingGlobe Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
- Paddle privacy rules (if billing involved).
Personal data must never be exported or copied without consent.
11. Reporting Spam or Abuse
Users may report spam through:
- Platform “Report” button or Emailing support@landscapingglobe.com.
- Filing a misuse complaint with the DPO if data is involved.
Reports handled under Moderation Policy.
12. Enforcement Actions
Depending on severity, actions may include:
- Warning, DM restrictions, Temporary communication block.
- Listing removal, Boost cancellation (non-refundable if violation-based).
- Complete account suspension or Permanent ban; Legal escalation for fraud/harassment.
13. Appeals Process
Users may appeal by emailing: legal@landscapingglobe.com
Include:
Explanation, Evidence/screenshots, URLs, and Context for misunderstanding.
Reviewed in 7–14 business days.
14. Updates & Versioning
Policy may update due to:
- New communication features, AI enhancements, Paddle changes.
- Regional law updates, Abuse patterns.
