Plantsman, Plant Explorer & Nursery Director

I started working with plants after developing a strong interest in trees at age 21. I completed a three-year diploma course in arboriculture at Merrist Wood College, Surrey. During college, I worked at Hillier Arboretum and Westonbirt Arboretum. After college, I worked on a large Cotswolds property where I began creating a small arboretum. I started Pan-Global Plants in spring 1997 after growing hundreds of young trees from seed and cuttings. Since then, I have built the nursery around rare and unusual plants and travelled extensively across the temperate world to study plants in their natural habitats.
