Landscape Architect & Environmental Design Consultant

Dr. Sarah Thornton is a registered landscape architect and environmental design consultant with nearly two decades of experience across urban public space, ecological restoration, and private residential projects in Ontario and across Canada. She holds a PhD in Landscape Architecture from the University of Toronto and is a full member of both OALA and CSLA. Sarah specialises in native plant integration, bioretention and rain garden design, AODA-compliant public realm projects, and sustainable urban landscape planning. Her consultancy offers services from concept design through to construction documentation and site supervision. She has advised the City of Toronto on multiple Green Infrastructure initiatives and worked with major real estate developers on sustainable site design for mixed-use developments.
