Planting Designer & Naturalistic Garden Design Specialist

I am a Canadian writer, photographer and planting designer known as The New Perennialist. I am internationally recognized for my work in naturalistic garden design and planting design. I have built an award-winning platform focused on naturalistic planting, ecological approaches to garden design, and the relationship between plants, people and place. I also host The New Perennialist Talks, a webinar series featuring influential designers and innovators in naturalistic planting design. I deliver live and virtual presentations to horticultural clubs, professional organizations, conferences and international audiences. My work includes writing, photography, garden documentation, speaking, professional planting design and public education. I have also contributed to garden publications and selectively take on professional planting design projects for private gardens.
