Founding Partner | Landscape Architect & Urbanist

I am a Founding Partner at Field Operations and a leading landscape architect and urbanist with decades of experience in professional practice, scholarship, and teaching. I served as Professor and Chairman at the University of Pennsylvania’s Weitzman School of Design from 2000 to 2013 and currently hold the position of Professor Emeritus of Landscape Architecture and Urbanism. My work focuses on shaping how cities are imagined, inhabited, and experienced through landscape architecture and urban design. My contributions have been recognized through the IFLA Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe Award, the ASLA National Design Medal, election to the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and an Honorary Doctor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.
